“Nihao! China”
2024 Silk Road Tourism Overseas Promotion Season
Hainan
Hainan Island is a brilliant pearl in the South China Sea and is the second largest island in China, after Taiwan. It is the smallest province in terms of land area but the largest in terms of marine area. Located at the southernmost point of China, Hainan Province boasts exceptionally rich tourism resources. As China's only tropical coastal resource, it has an unparalleled natural environment, making it extremely unique. The island features 81 peaks over 1,000 meters above sea level, with undulating and peculiar mountain shapes that create a majestic scenery. The implementation of the Hainan off-island tax refund policy has become another highlight of Hainan tourism. Sanya, the essence of Hainan tourism, offers not only the romance of blue seas and skies but also the surprise of tropical rainforests, making it a very romantic vacation paradise.
Starting from February 9, 2024, China expanded the allowed purposes of visa-free entry to Hainan Province for ordinary passport holders of 59 countries (Germany). Ordinary passport holders of the 59 countries can enter Hainan visa-free for tourism, business & trade, visits, family visits, medical treatment, exhibitions and sports competition (except purposes of work and study). Travelers can enter Hainan through all its ports open to foreign countries, and stay for up to 30 days.
